CAT-1 Chaos
The first exam after starting at VIT, CAT-1, came less than a month in, and honestly, I had no idea what hit me. As an only child, I was used to quiet and doing things at my own pace, but suddenly, everything felt rushed and way too chaotic. Everyone around me looked just as stressed we’d barely survived the insane pressure of JEE and a bunch of other exams, and now, right away, college exams were thrown at us. The panic hit hard, and before I knew it, my friends and I were all squeezed into one room pulling last-minute all-nighters.
We stacked our notes and textbooks into this crazy unstable tower, sharing whatever tips and tricks we could scrape together. Between trying to make sense of formulas, we joked nonstop about how our brains were begging for a break and how caffeine had basically become our lifeline. We took snack breaks filled with chips, chocolates, and endless cups of coffee just to keep going. There was so much laughter mixed with groans and sighs I mean, we reached at a point where we started joking about our situation and only if we had started studying a bit earlier, we would not have ended up in that situation.
Those nights were exhausting, but also kind of magical in a weird way. Being an only child, I never realized how much it means to be around people who get exactly what you’re going through. Amid all the chaos and stress, we found friendship, fun, and enough laughs to keep us sane.
